5 Fantastic Nightclubs in Sydney
Country
City / Town / Village

Sydney is a great place to wind down after a hard day's work or, if you are a tourist, a hard Day's visiting the many tourist attractions!  At the end of the day as you climb out of your car rental it's time to take a shower and maybe grab a bite to eat before heading out to enjoy some of the fabulous nightspots. You won't be limited to just one of the many Sydney hotels, because there's plenty of other choices too.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of Sydney are the many bars and nightclubs where you can relax and enjoy some great live music and get a real feel for the local talent.  And if you really want to get into it, there is nothing like high energy dancing to get you ready for a good night's sleep.

To make your job easier, he was a list of five fantastic nightclubs that Sydney has to offer.

  • ARQ. This is known around town as a ‘superclub’ and has a fantastic sound system that is state of the art.  When you put this together with high-tech lighting and broadcasting equipment, you will know why it has rightfully assumed this title.  The focal point of this popular dance club is the massive fish tank strategically situated between comfortable seating and the dance floors.  You can also enjoy the latest fashions as you watch high profile patrons stream through the door.
  • Coogee Bay Hotel. At this famous hotel located right next to the equally famous Coogee Beach, you are likely to find some of the best bands in the country.  The live music venue has played host to many famous Australian bands over the last 20 years, many having obtained their start right here .  The nightclub, Selina's, plays host to many Sydney celebrities but you'll also find plenty of backpackers as well.  A visit to this hotel is a must.
  • The Civic Hotel.  Conveniently located in Pitt Street in the CBD this is a popular one stop shop.  It consists of three floors, with a restaurant on the third floor, a pub on the middle floor, and a nightclub on the ground level.  This makes it easy to start the top and finish at the bottom for a complete night out.
  • Jackson's on George.  Not surprisingly, you will find Jackson's in George Street in the CBD, and has similar offerings to the Civic Hotel with a restaurant bar and nightclub in one convenient location.  One of the superb offerings consists of over 100 local and imported beers, enough to keep you busy for more than one night!
  • Q Bar. This popular dance club is located in Oxford Street where you can not only enjoy the music and dancing, but also the computer games and pinball machines when you need a break.  There is also a special area at the back where you can just relax while you recuperate.  This has long been a great standby destination for many Sydneysiders.

So, forget about the hire car for an evening and get out and about to enjoy Sydney's nightlife at its best. At the end of your evening you can simply return to your accommodation and sleep until midday!

Its been ages since I took a plane that far and always thought it better to go to Australia via a round the world kind of thing...also dreamed that going round the world seems to have some effect on you and you are never the same ! funny. But I do vividly remember the CBD and George street bustling with energy at 6 on a week day evening. Then there was the pull of the Cross sketchy and really ok !
