Planning for a vacation is a process you need to be cautious about, as you need to make sure you have budgeted accordingly for the trip and that you can afford to go on the holiday of your dreams. Sticking to a budget can be done, though travel can get costly when it comes to food, drinks and extra activities once you arrive at your vacation destination. Because the majority of people prefer to have a good idea of how much a trip will cost in total, so they can save, plan for or even make a final decision about a trip; opting for all-inclusive holiday packages make affordable travel within reach. The primary benefit of an all-inclusive travel package is that you are well aware, up front, what the total trip will cost you. Most all-inclusive packages include airfare, transfer from the airport, hotel or lodging, all food and drinks and even on site activities. Though some expenses, such as tips or more high end activities, will cost extra; you will be able to budget accordingly when you have all of the major expenses of a holiday right in from of you when you make your final decision.

When you stay at an all-inclusive resort, property or hotel; you are given lanyards or wristbands for everyone in your travel party. You wear these during the length of your stay and are thus designated as being a part of an all-inclusive plan. This adds to the convenience of your trip, as you are automatically served food and drink while wearing either your lanyards or wristbands. This makes being able to run up to the bar beside a swimming pool fast and convenient, and you never have to worry about bringing along your wallet or purse for dinner. Depending on the parameters of the all-inclusive plan you are on, your three main meals of the day, snacks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and desserts are included in the meal portion of your package.

The wristbands and lanyards you and your travel party wear during your holiday are also used when participating on activities which are included in your travel package. At some resorts, this allows you to use water bikes, kayaks, canoes, access golf courses, get on to private beaches, use cabanas and lounge chairs at pools, participate in organized events and plenty of other fun and exciting things that have been included in your package. Again, this saves you money and lets you control your spending. Though you can always add on, and thus pay separately for, extra activities such as off site tours and excursions; you will have the majority of everything required for the perfect vacation paid for before ever even leaving home.

The fact that all costs, except for minor incidentals such as souvenirs and perhaps top shelf alcoholic drinks, are included through an all-inclusive holiday package; you will better be able to plan for your vacation. This gives you the freedom of not having to worry what you trip in total will cost once you get home and comb through all of your receipts and credit card statements.
