I drove till Munnar, more than half of the way is plains and then I entered a Kerala wildlife sanctuary in order to reach Munnar. It is past 7pm, and was already getting dark. There was thick layer of mist outside and hardly any vision to keep driving. So, the cars on the way tagged along and followed each other. I rolled down the windows and let the chill air moist with dew fill my lungs.

Another wild destination around Bangalore is Wayanad in Kerala. I followed the Mysore road and kept driving further straight ahead and was surrounded by forests on either side. It was a marvelous experience as I spotted dears and elephants in the forest and stopped to take a closer look. I was really exciting and since then I started driving slow so that I don’t miss on my wildlife experience. I even saw bison on the way. Soon, I entered the Western Ghats and from then on the scenery was awe- inspiring and weather became pleasant.

Bangalore is not very far from Ooty in Tamil Nadu and the road trip is quite an adventure once you get to the hills. There are many hair pin turns and steep slopes with lush greenery and landscapes full of huge old trees. It took me almost 6 hours to reach there. Other than the advantage of hills in the Western Ghats, Bangaloreans have a great beach area nearby, Pondicherry. It is easy to reach there on road and I reached there in 5.30 hours. It was an easy drive with good roads and nice music in my car.
