De Vere - Milton Hill House Steventon Hot

This hotel was great considering that we had a good deal so it felt good at the price. I wouldn't say it was a 4 star hotel but it felt very much better than a 3 star if that makes any sense ! It isn't close to any significant town but there are villages and pubs around so a weekend here is a pleasant experience. The room was sizeable enough and very comfortable. We didn't get to use the gym of pool jacuzzi but had a few walks in the spacious grounds, you can play croquet too. Having your own transport is a necessity I would say though there are buses taxis and trains to Oxford around for example. Some good pubs like the packhorse and the cherry tree pub in Steventon are a walkable distance. It is close by the white horse near Uffington (use car) as a local attraction and there are some nice easy country walks.
