Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City formerly known as Saigon
Upon arrival in Sai Gon (called now Ho Chi Minh City), “pearl of the east”. Walk amongst the frenzied merchants and buyers of Cho Lon market and visit Thien Hau Pagoda. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Stay overnight in Sai Gon.

Day 2 : Ho Chi Minh-Buon Ma Thuot – Nam Ka
You take a morning flight to Buon Ma Thuot in the central highland of Vietnam. Welcome by our local guide and then drive about 90 km to the rural village of Nam Ka before walking the final 3 km to our home for the night. Our home stay is in Rai village of Ede minority village. Our accommodation, a traditional long house-on-stilt of the Ede group, is very simple but clean and comfortable.

Day 3 : Nam Ka – Ja Tu
Today, we have a full day for trekking through evergreen forest to the lovely Buon Triet Lake. The trek is about 18 km but the temperature remains quite comfortable. First, we have to climb about 2 km to the top of Nam Ka hill. After that, we walk down through many types of forest. Sometimes, we have to cross a stream. During the trek, we see forest, birds, ethnic people and sometimes small animals.
We are picked up by paddle boats and enjoy a ride cross this beautiful lake before enjoying an afternoon swim. This evening is spent in Jatu village where our hosts belong to the M’Nong minority.

Day 4 : Ja Tu – Lake Lak – Buon Ma Thuot
This morning, we will hike about 10 km before taking private transport to Lak Lake. We will be exciting with views of countryside: ethnic villages, rice fields, cattle, river and we have chances to join in the daily minorities’ activities. In the afternoon, we pass across Lak Lake by dug-out to M’Lieng village and then walk around the village to discover the ethnic minority’s daily life in The Central Highlands. After one hour of elephant riding to go back to Jun village, we drive back to Buon Ma Thuot. Stay overnight in Buon Ma Thuot.

Day 5 : Buon Ma Thuot – Pleiku - Pleibloum
Drive up to Pleiku by passing many rubber tree and coffee plantation. Continue to Pleibloum village of Jarai ethnic people, en route visit Phu Cuong waterfall. Upon arrival, we stroll around the village to explore the Jarai culture and overnight in a house on stilts near the river.

Day 6 : Pleibloum – Yang Nam
Trekking 25 km to Yang Nam with picnic lunch en route at Ho Nga, the Bahnar remotest village. Stay overnight in Yang Nam in a house on stilts.

Day 7 : Yang Nam – Dekop
This morning, we trek around 20 km through Bahnar villages and forest to Konchro and then drive to DeKop village for an overnight stay. You have a chance to enjoy traditional Gong music and dancing performance and drink “Can” wine. Stay overnight in Dekop in a house on stilts.

Day 8 : Dekop – Konktu
In the morning, drive up tu Kon Tum, stopover to visit Bien Ho – A sleeping volcano. On arrival, you will visit Wooden Church and Vinh Son Orphanage and then trek to Konktu village. Stay overnight at this village.

Day 9: Konktu – Pleiku - Saigon
After breakfast, we trek along Dakbla river and visit some minority ethnic villages surrounded, taking a suspension bridge to KonTum. Transfer to the airport of Pleiku, flight back to Saigon. Stay overnight in Saigon.

Day 10: Saigon Departure
Free at leisure until transferring to Saigon airport for your international flight. Or of course you may continue your travels in Vietnam at your leisure or pick up another one !
