Your first stop is Padron, a medieval town with a rich literary and cultural past, set between the rivers Sar and Ulla. Then it's on to Rianxo, a small harbor crowded with boats, and Ponte Goianes Manor House, dating from the 17th century.
Stop at Puebla del Caraminal, a quaint village with a noble quarter and historic port, before heading to the Barbanza mountains and Monte Curota (498 meters/1633 feet), for impressive views to the Arosa estuary, home to wild horses.
After stopping for lunch, continue to Santa Uxia de Ribeira, one of Galicia's most prosperous fishing villages, known for its shellfish, sardines and whiting.
Along the coast, Corrubedo lighthouse has views over Galicia's most beautiful dunes and the prehistoric Dolmen de Axeitos houses built from huge stones.
Finally, visit Castro de Baronafaces, a magnificent surf beach where Celtic archaeological remains have been excavated.
