The beach is quite nice though you may have dogs pis$ing on your beach towel or condoms on the beach to contend with so it looks like a great beach but in fact isn't the best. For example there is no snorkelling as its just cloudy and such a gentle slope. Amazingly the sand is so white and powdery that it sticks to everything and gets everywhere. The above is not to say that Had Rin is bad and if you are young perhaps stay here or in ban tai. Tommy's resort is good but expensive unless you are flashpacking it. But all that said ko phangan as an island is great don't waste too much time in ko samui !
