I'm in the early stages of planning a London to Rio flight and then spending a week or a bit less there. Then I want to head to either Itacare or Florianopolis. They are both plane rides away from Rio and I will need to book those in advance. www.voegol.com.br and www.tam.com.br will help in that regard.

If you a uk citizen here are the entry requirements currently http://www.brazil.org.uk/tourism/visasvaccinations.html

Brazil Surf Camp
For 13 days with all inclusive status these guys charge a single traveller
Price per person in an private room: R$ 4.995,00 and this is about 1665 pounds.

"A taxi or a driver from the hotel to lagoa center coasts around R$ 15,00 and you can order one any time."

Checkout the sunset backpackers as it is well documented as a good place to stay and a friend of mine recommends it. They have surf equipment for you and there is some capoeira.
