Egypt - Liberation Reveals a Hot New Tourist Trail
Tourism in Egypt has been alive since hundreds of years. The rich culture and history of Egypt has always been fascinating to foreign visitors who have flocked to Egyptian lands since the time of the pharaohs. The unrivaled natural and manmade landscape of Egypt is impossible to be found in any other location, thereby making it a favorite destination of tourists all over the world.
That being said, the recent revolution in Egypt has certainly taken quite a toll on not just the economic and political situation in the country, but its tourism has suffered a huge impact too. However, history is proof of the fact that most countries that have suffered setbacks in their tourism industry have regained their lost glory in no time. Whether the hit in tourism was due to revolutions, global crisis, natural calamities, or even terrorism – countries with a rich tourism legacy have always been able to bounce back. And such has fortunately been the case with Egypt after its recent revolution too. |

In the past few years, there has been a tremendous increase in the number of mid-range hotels and guest houses available to tourists all over the world. This has had quite an impact on the kind of accommodations people choose while travelling as these mid range hotels offer some good facilities without being too hard on the pocket. This has caused some travel experts to believe that the popularity of backpacking is on the decline. After all, finding a decent place to sleep is one of the biggest costs during a holiday, sometimes even more so than what people pay to get to a certain destination.
However, regardless of how many mid range hotels spring up all over the globe; backpacking has always found its takers and will continue to do so. There is simply no better way to explore every part of a country or city than with fellow backpackers whose main aim is not the accommodations or facilities that a place can offer, but rather its natural sights and culture.

One of the biggest concerns that backpackers have when they are planning to visit a certain country is whether or not they will be able to explore that country on a backpacker’s budget. Well, as long as you have decided to go backpacking in Thailand, money is one thing that you need not be worried about!
Now when I say you need not be worried about money the point I am trying to make is that Thailand is an extremely cheap (solely in terms of money) country to visit. People from Asian countries such as Malaysia, India, China, and Cambodia find Thailand cheap so if you’re from USA or one of the European countries then Thailand is literally going to be a backpacker’s haven for you. |

Antigua is the pretty upper class Guatemala. A lot of fun for a few days maybe a week but after that you start to yearn to get back into Central America proper, funny that after a few days away you want to get back to its higher standards of food and bars and you forget how annoying cobblestones are to walk on. This is a preserved city so much so that the mac donalds like everywhere else has to have a brass plaque to indicate the nature of their business - no big brash logos here.
