This place represents great value and actually feels really quite nice and cosy.
About the Ivy House Amersham
The Ivy House is equidistant between Amersham and Chalfont St Giles and is closer to Little Chalfont. So if you need a great value accommodation near these towns then this is a great option. The inn is attached to a pub which has a lovely cosy feel and a log fire. The pub is family-friendly and there is a large car park. The local area is very natural and there are some walks close by. It could make for a decent day trip away from London- you could get a taxi from the Chalfont and Lattimer station.
The building is around 250 years old and made from flint and brick.
Transportation
It isn't very close to any public train stations but Chalfont and Lattimer station is a 10 minute drive away. This is then just a 40 minute train into the centre of London.
My Review
It borders on Luxury in my Oriental room which has a tidy clean ensuite, hidden wardrobe, tea and coffee facilities and a lovely double bed. It is part of a wonderful pub the Ivy House set on a road that isn't for the noise sensitive but really ok IMO. The views are very very good and there are many trails around here to be found to walk in.
Close by you will find the home of Liam Gallagher and others
I found their place through late rooms but I wanted to add it here so that it could be found more easily as there are not many good value bed and breakfasts near Amersham. It's not offering breakfast as far as I know so be warned.
