The Moxy Milton Keynes inspires! It's a trendy boutique hotel in the centre of Milton Keynes (the Hub) and if you need a place to stay in Milton Keynes then give the Moxy a try. We don't think you will be disappointed.

We stayed to concentrate for a couple of days on Christmas shopping in the very nearby Centre MK and Midsummer Place two malls next to each other. We also discovered the HUB here which is a square and more bars restaurants and energy. Address 331 Avebury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes, Milton Keynes, MK9 2GA, United Kingdom

Description

Nestled in the heart of Milton Keynes and just a stone's throw away from the iconic Milton Keynes Bowl (a mere 3.7 km), Moxy Milton Keynes [1] offers a blend of convenience and comfort. Boasting express check-in and check-out, along with a selection of non-smoking rooms, a communal lounge, and complimentary WiFi sprawling across the entire property, this spot is a traveller's haven. Fancy a drink?

History of the Moxy

2 years ago the Moxy was a car park! Milton Keynes was short of good hotels so this pleased me as in the past all you could get was a Travelodge and the need for a taxi to get into the centre. So finally Milton Keynes has at least this great quality hotel. Marriott have created the hotel brand 'The Moxy' [2] and there are a few dotted around the world. Le Meridien is another brand of Marriott and I reviewed the Bangkok one briefly here.

There is no traditional 'reception' area. Instead, staff at the bar will attend to your needs.

There's a bar to quench your thirst.

A car racing theme meets you on arrival drawing from the local RedBull racing team proudly based in the city.

Explore the surroundings, with Bletchley Park at 6.7 km, Woburn Abbey at 15 km, and Notley Abbey at 47 km from the property. The adventurous souls among us can indulge in skiing and cycling, making the most of the vibrant activities in and around Milton Keynes.

Need to catch up on work? Moxy Milton Keynes has you covered with its business centre. Snack cravings? Vending machines on-site offer a quick fix. The 24-hour front desk is manned by helpful staff ready to guide you through your stay.

Quirky touches!

A record player, pool table, and iMac are just some of the facilities they have at the bar area.

For those jetting in, London Luton Airport is the nearest at 41 km from Moxy Milton Keynes.

And for couples seeking the perfect spot, the location scores big – a solid 9.4 for a delightful two-person getaway.

Moxy Milton Keynes Review

We came to go Christmas shopping in December 2023 and for that it was ideal. We are a couple travelling around and reporting for you.

In a few words, excellent inspiring and comfortable. I am rarely impressed at the value provided by hotels so I have been in a mindset of lower expectations recently- the Moxy has changed that. From the initial conversations with staff before arrival such as 'was there any parking available right now' as we were minutes away by car.. never any issues of the sort to make their lives easier we were the ones always who had our lives made easier. It's like being back in the 80's real customer service again. We also were allowed to keep our car parked whilst we shopped. Other hotels would try and get us out to clear the car park. Our experience was important to them.

From arrival, the hotel smelled nice as most of them do, and the whole lobby area looked great with a race car driver in RedBull gear. Most hotels have good reception areas and awful rooms, so I still was weary. We hadn't spent too much for the night so I expected a small room. On opening the room the TV seemed to switch on and play a nice melody like a welcoming tune. The flat screen TV was good let me say at this point with plenty of channels and local information.

I was very impressed by the cleanliness of the room and size given what we had paid £88.00. The queen bed was a great size but around us we had the space to move and put luggage. Apart from the bathroom it's open plan style in the sense that there is no internal closet. Everything is exposed but in clever industrial design ways.
