Let's first stop at the Mont Dore fountain, then we cross the mountain range to reach the east coast and the village of Yaté (possible stop at the Blue River Park). We then cross the coast to the south with a stop at Gîte Yia and then in the village of Touaourou and its pretty colonial church, another stop near the village of Goro towards an incredible waterfall. This shady park was created to guarantee the protection of one of the last plots of dry forest that exists in Nouméa. Covering an area of 34 hectares, it houses the only collection of live terrestrial animals of New Caledonia. Natural Heritage : Flora : The park is home to several areas of dry forest, araucaria plantations, a palm grove and a collection of cacti. Fauna : The animal collection numbers more than 700 animals.
