Looking for things to do in Santo Domingo? You can't miss this hike in Dominican Republic. Let´s get to know the dominican countryside and the coolest hike in DR: El Tabernáculo. LGBTQ+ friendly experience, vegetarian accomodating We first take a 2-hour road trip full of breathtaking sights to get to Los Cacaos. We begin our journey to El Tabernáculo. It's a 3-hour route within hiking, swimming, climbing, etc. It's a route full of adrenaline and adventure. Swimming is mandatory, but you don't need to know how to swim with the life vest. The difficulty of this route is considered medium, it's a strenuous experience. It's not easy, completely doable, though. You must not have any injuries. You don't need to be an athlete, though. After the hike, we change clothes (there's no restroom, we use the vehicle and nature) and go back to the town to have a dominican lunch. Then we come back happy to Santo Domingo at around 4pm.

Looking for things to do in Santo Domingo? This hike/rappel trip is for you. Adventure and adrenaline Difficulty level: HIGH. You have to be decently in shape. Rappel and swimming are mandatory (no experience required/don't need to know how to swim). We meet at 8am and take a 2-hour road trip to get to the town, and meet the rappel experts. Then we stretch out, and begin the journey going uphill and then downhill towards the stream. We hike upstream to see La Culebra waterfall, and do a light rappel to practice; and then downstream to Tabernacle Thundering Waterfall (yes, my other experience). You can do a guided or free rappel down this 25-meter waterfall, this is the highlight of the experience. Then we hike downstream through some swimming wholes, jumps and slides until the end. Then we change clothes (there's no dressing room. We don't get wet to the car). Finally, we go back to have lunch, and get back to Santo Domingo happy at 5pm
