The secluded Pirate’s Bay is located in the cove adjacent to Man ‘o’ War Bay in the small fishing village of Charlotteville. Some historians report that Tobago was a favorite harbor for pirates back in the 17th and 18th centuries, including pirates such as Black Beard and Henry Morgan. Movie lovers will also appreciate that Pirate’s Bay was used extensively throughout the movie “Robinson Crusoe” in 1952. Perhaps what makes Pirate’s Bay extra special is that the beach is only accessible by foot or boat. What this means is that, once you take the 15 minute walk, or are dropped off by a local fisherman, you will very likely be one of the only visitors there for a private beach experience. Visitors to Pirate’s Bay have come back saying such things as, “the snorkeling was overwhelming - we saw squid, turtles and lots of fish and coral,” and “this is paradise.” **Swimming & Snorkeling is included, but optional, of course, based on your preferences.**
