La Fortuna Costa Rica

The surrounding area is rich in things to do like hot natural springs (Tabacon) horseriding or visit the waterfall La Catarata de la Fortuna, canoeing, hiking, canopy tours, white water rafting...the list goes on and you will see why it is a popular spot with backpackers. You can find many places to stay in town accordingly to your own taste and expense. It is really amazing on a clear night to see the red sparking lava from Arenal.
